Past Event – Montpelier, Vermont – July 24-26, 2014

We’re super excited for our first multi-day event, coming up July 24 – 26 in Montpelier, Vermont. Our innovative audio story exhibit will be set up in the courtyard of the Christ Episcopal Church, 64 State Street. Each day features our audio stories along with facilitated discussions with local experts. (All events are free of charge. All events in the exhibit tent unless otherwise noted.) Here’s the schedule:

Thursday, July 24

3-6pm Audio Story Exhibit Open

6-7:30pm Montpelier Death Café. A monthly forum to take death and dying out of the closet. All points of view are welcome at the community forum for sharing and listening. Facilitated by Ellen Fein.


Friday, July 25

10am-7:30pm Audio Story Exhibit Open

2-3pm Open Discussion on Death, Dying, and Life!

6-7:30pm Discussion with End of Life Care Professionals. Join three local experts and learn more about palliative care, hospice, and making end of life medical decisions. Bring your questions! (Location: Christ Episcopal Church, Parish Hall)

Saturday, July 26

9am-7:30pm Audio Story Exhibit Open

2-3pm Open Discussion on Death, Dying, and Life!

1-4pm Advance Directive Q&A. Drop-in anytime for individual support starting or finishing your advance directive for health care. We’ll help you through it!

6-7:30pm Spiritual Perspectives on Death & Dying. Hear from three spiritual care providers about the spiritual needs of the dying and those who love them, and the ways that different spiritual traditions approach this shared human experience. All spiritual perspectives welcome. (Location: Christ Episcopal Church, Sanctuary)

Each day, the internationally-popular Before I Die chalkboard will be featured at the exhibit. What do you want to do before you die? Grab a piece of chalk and share your aspirations!
