A woman describes crying in front of strangers after losing her spouse.
Hello, It was so good to hear from a woman who lost her female partner. I lost mine 9 months ago. I remember being so irritated with the new postmaster who was no longer putting her mail in our PO Box because it was in my last name. My irritability, I am sure, came off as a demanding high strung woman. And for those who are wondering why I still needed to get her mail. It is because I was responsible for her estate. her taxes, her car insurance, her phone bill, her banking. Just today she got a letter from a collection agency. But really in some part of my head, maybe it meant she was just on vacation. I guess the edge is still there. Funny what some people don’t get about death.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your story, Deborah. It’s such an important and helpful way to learn about death… through each others stories. I am sorry for your loss.
Peace and ease to you.
